The best coffee is made in
our presspot, by Mitchell.
Organic French or Italian roast,
he grinds it Turkish,
so fine it is like espresso.
Thin sliced organic ginger
(way more than you’d think)
and dark brown organic sugar
added with whole goat milk.
We have a dozen brightly colored
big Fiestaware® mugs
that take two normal cups of coffee,
and hold nicely in our hand.
Plus we have the best company, depending upon where we are!
Sammy, Jai and Kamala!
Attempting to paint Sammy was a huge stretch for me. Black cats are hard to paint, even though they are rarely really black. I’ve avoided both of our black cats after such failed attempts I tossed them. I’m happier with this one, even though I see problems, mostly because I am impatient and don’t let the dang watercolors dry!
Inked sketches in a Stillman & Birn Delta Journal with (mostly)
Platinum Carbon pen, Pilot Parallel pen and Platinum Japanese Art Pocket Brush Pen.
Super5, De Artramentis Document, or ink samples from Goulet;
Daniel Smith Watercolors with a few Holbien and QoR’s.

Us too. Blind in one eye — his eye doesn’t move properly to light. Teeny little white moustache.

I think you succeeded drawing your black cat! I know, black is tricky. Its getting those details to show! Your stacation sounds awfully nice. Sometimes staying home is the best!

Thanks Joan; I struggled with black cats for so long and we have some real characters and finally feel good about this one of Sammy. Now I have to try Kamala!
