Letter Writing

I miss letter writing.

Truth is I have no one to write to now.  The writers are long dead, RIP.
I used to get amazing letters from my Auntie Elsa
who traveled all over the world and never forgot to write to me.
I also write her long letters back…
I saved them all!  Treasures!

I think it is great to email and it allows us to stay in touch in many ways,
but there is a different dynamic to sitting down to write.
I think that taking that time, maybe writing at night when it is quiet
or sitting out under a tree at a library allows you to cogitate
and deeper issues might be revealed,
but to the reader and maybe even to the writer!
