So sad and disappointed to read of your recent experience, Kate. The experiences of the past few years in the US have brought out the worse sides of so many people (and fortunately have brought out the best in some of them). I don’t understand how people can be so clueless about the effect that their actions have on others or, even worse, are fully aware of the repercussions and simply don’t care. I hope that things work themselves (and you should definitely give yourself permission to be be angry).

What a mess and a shame, Katie. Do you have people pay some money upfront…so you don’t lose everything you have put into it? I’m guessing retaining an attorney isn’t worth the price…but how awful for someone to do this.
