New Pen Day: TWSBI Eco

It’s not that I collect TWSBI Ecos
If I did, then I would have the Rose Gold variety, but they are not my thang.
I do LOVE these pens, however.
They are an ever-ready bunny pen, and hold a ton of ink, so I never run out!

I bought the lilac (center, above) because I am committed to have the steely colors…
even though it is a pastel.
I popped a wine-colored ink (Robert Oster Australian Shiraz) into it and am loving that!

I’ve love to draw TWSBI Ecos… They are architectural, like little buildings,
and you can see all the ways they work inside which is very cool.

Hi Kate! I’ve been following your blog for some time because of your urban sketching and love of inks and fountain pens. I really enjoy hearing what is going on in your life and your family business and have enjoyed the bits of insights into the running of that. Just wanted to finally say hello! and to tell you that I only own one TWSBI Eco (purple) but it is my most favorite fountain pen and I have several, more pricey, ones that just don’t hold a candle to my Eco. I had a custom grind, a Predator grind, put on the original medium nib by The NibSmith. Other than the Platinum desk pen with a UEF nib, I couldn’t seem to get one that was fine enough to suit my tastes. This Predator did the trick and combined with the reliability and fun factor of the Eco it is an all around winner for me. Best wishes for a better 2021!

Spectacular rainbow collection! *envious tone* I love my TWSBI Eco orange. (I only have one of them though… Hmmm… Look at those colors… Hmmm tempting… Must… resist… getting one more pen… just one more…) 🙂 🙂 Enjoy the new pen and take care! Oster Shiraz is a great ink.
