My month of fake journaling has come to an end, and sadly (in terms of sharing) my next projects is top secret. Someday I’ll post it, but not for a LONG time. I am participating in a month long challenge called Everyday in May (EDM), though this year the suggestions have been uninspiring so I may not keep up. Challenges have to be fun and interesting!
However, an Italian artist is also doing a challenge too, and we can play along with her — and I am making EDM more interesting by doing hers too. She suggested an event in May, and that is how the Eames Chair came about, above. Mitchell and I met and married in May, and May is very very special, proof that your world can change in an instant.
From my hometown, Mary Hurlbut took this image in her backyard
macadamia nut tree, and was kind enough to let me use it for a sketch.
Drawn in an Pentalic Field Book (using it up, not that fond of them)
with Pentalic HB woodless pencil, LYRA watercolor graphite pencil,
various pens and with De Artramentis Document ink, Super5, Noodlers ink
and Daniel Smith, QoR, and Holbein watercolors.
