I see this view nightly,
Yamantaka with his head resting on Mitchell’s leg.

Usually about the time I try to sketch him,
he is on the run. I swear, he can be asleep and realize
I am sketching and walk away.

So I took a picture.
My iPhone is faster than his realization!

In reality he is black as night,
but I have never learned to capture that so
he is portrayed as dark brown or grey!

That annoying loud-mouth editor/critic in your head? GONE! How great would that be?

Our dog would hold a toy in her mouth until I was ready to take a picture. The she would drop it.
