Brenda Swenson has a drawing challenge to draw every day for 75 days.
We are supposed to use a black or blue pen, but I know I will not do that one.
Still, I play along because challenges are fun when done with others, and it keeps me doing at least one dang drawing a day even when I am slammed at work.

Booby Gurl has been majorly unhappy with accounting toward taxes.
I tossed my brush far away for a few days while tearing my hair, then retrieved it to give me a carrot dangling and every time I finished another part I got to draw!
The end of summer coincided with the end of the journal I started for this challenge.
Never fear, a had a half-finished journal that I went back to, and horses began appearing. And I finished a Buddha and called it one of the numbers!
All are done in an OE Cadic sketching journal or in a Stillman & Birman Beta journal
with Cocoiro or Pitt pens or Uni-ball pen, and with watercolor when so moved!

Katie – is that giraffe one that bends crazily at neck and knees when you press the bottom? We had one as kids, too!
Sorry you and Booby Gurl are mired in the quarterly tax-a-thon. I have to do ours that way, too, and it always seems like I just put all the damn accounting folders away and it’s already time to start next quarte’s! And worse yet is knowing that I have to write a check even though Every Single Dollar I send will be wasted on some numb nut project.
But look on the bright side – those “carrots” you and BGurl are noshing are tax deductible. You’re welcome 😍💥

I WISH more of the carrots were tax deductible. This is not the quarterly tax return — I did a fast recon in April and paid what I thought I owed, but our tax gal was unavailable so did an extension. We changed banks, and moved my office, and I had half-way finished them — so they were a mess! ARGH! But things are calming down considerably!

Did this last year using only Pitt pen, which I found challenging, but also engaging. I was dying to use watercolor, a brush, anything but black ink! Looks like you’re having fun.

When do we get to see that journal???? I am having fun. Because my goal was to lose my dependency on pencils, it has been a huge success. But my wanting to work with watercolors led to my experimenting and not having a clean drawing journal. Rebel at heart, I don’t care. I may keep a drawing journal in my purse from now on, no watercolors, and not sharable — because I will write my heart out too.
