I play at Paint Party Friday — It is one of the few I participate in as I love the artists down under. I am writing this so that the artists who are are part of PPF hear about blogspot.
I imagine if you are a blogspot member it is easy to post.
If you are not, blogspots’s comments often don’t work.
I have my cuppa, and am off to visit the party,
I like what I see, I want to tell YOU that, and then the trouble starts.
I know my way around a computer and fill the form out properly,
but when it comes to making sure I am a person, they screw up.
The message shows for two seconds then goes back to the beginning.
I now know that this happens but like Lucy, I kick the ball a couple times, then give up.
The sad thing is that you don’t get to hear
how great your art is, which is the point!
I can’t tell blogspot. I can’t tell YOU, because to contact you I have to go through blogspot. The truth is, you might not even know how many people stop by and can’t leave messages. I emailed PPF to tell them but I never saw that posted anywhere.
I started blogging over there Kate and I think I had about three comments in 4-5 years. They make it so hard!

We tried both at the same time for the biz and after a few months I said, “Fo-git it!”

funny I have had a few issues here and there and just a few min. ago I got a mssg from a fellow PPF friend who wanted me to know that my link wasn’t working (#39) so I added it again (#62). What I saw on my first link is that when you click on it the page says”not available”. But if you click on “home” just below that it takes you to the page and link. I only know because that has happened numerous times with other PPF artist links.

What has been happening pretty regularly with blogspot is that it won’t take you to a place to verify — it blips through that very fast and makes me start over.

As a blogspot blogger for over 9 years there have been some problems of course. Years ago I started another blog but getting my friends and customers to move over was proving very difficult. I am with you though if I can’t post a comment after a few tries I am done.

It is one of the great frustrations of blogger and the reason I visit blogs with emergency chocolate by my side… Even though these days it is organic vegan deliciousness it is still a good half block needed most of the time… Mind you are enjoy the challenge and it gets to be quite the thing sometimes lol!

I’m afraid it’d have to be dark with coffee and salt for me to sit through more than a couple tries…. And I feel badly for the people who may not know that we are visiting!

Yes that is a pain. And very unfortunate. I have been absent from the blogging world for some months now, so I cannot really be a voice to this conversation, but I agree that Blogger does have its hiccoughs. Given that you’ve run into his glitch I am thankful your comment to me went through! Your teacups are precious – so colorful and happy! Beautiful textures as well.

Very interesting–I have been using blogger for a while now–several years–and have had issues with WordPress. I sometimes wonder if they made them incompatible on purpose–competition thing. Not sure–but so far so good with PPF. ox

Maybe — I’ve not heard that about WP (but then maybe they are trying to tell me?) but what I like is how easy it is on WP to post a sign-up by email. Some blogger people have a good system and some there is just no way to ever post on their pages!
