w17-1-6-nost-tp-pemaAt the New Year we also had a strange experience with toilet paper.
Every time I sat I thought about Pema Chodron, and her commentary about
staying present and having beginner’s mind with each item —
as in, when I flush, the wonder of the water going down, and what if it didn’t?!
We had no perforation (not serration, as I wrote) on our toilet paper…
You don’t give thanks for that unless you lose it.
It is not the end of the world, and for two rolls I had a several-times-a-day
contemplation on being present for what is so each time I used the toilet.

Everything is food for the pen… Drawing 5!
