This is an interesting video on Painting Conservation, which I found through my husband, in an article in the Guardian: Restoration reveals hidden whale in 17th-century Dutch painting. It is interesting to me not only from a conservation standpoint, but also from the changes in how we look upon artworks over the centuries.
