I will eventually write about my mom, but for now,
am remembering her through the card I made for her years ago,
of her almost full-sized Santa.
We called him Laguna Santa as he came from Laguna Beach.
He took over one of her wicker chairs each Christmas
and stayed longer than he shoulda cuz she loved him so much.
She tucked gifts around him and he was a buddy who greeted her many friends.
May the season serve up good art,
good memories, good food, and good company!
Christmas Eve, just after that huge full moon!
When we went to buy the tree only itty-bitty trees were left;
The cats have it now, with teeny flamingos led lights on it and cat toys.
I caught Hari-Fred-Gibbs (gads will we ever settle on a name for the Uslurper?)
stretching up to try to get the prized red cardinal cat toy on top!
Juxtaposed in front of the full moon through the window it looks like a full-sized tree!
