Braving another go at a video,
my other first try!
Lighting is better…
About ink painting, shown on a Hahnemühle Post Card.
Tips: I pin my postcards on a stiff board (I use the mailing envelopes from Redbubble). I can store extra cards inside for middle-of-the-night painting or on-the-go travel!
All tools and materials should be listed below!
Note: two different blue inks… and I can’t remember
the first, a sample I never reordered.
Showing both the first and
the reproduction created for the video.

That annoying loud-mouth editor/critic in your head? GONE! How great would that be?
Loved the video! I’ll have to look up my clips and try clipping my postcards down. I usually just let them curl and weight them out after.

When I see you I will bring a couple of envelopes from Red Bubble. Nicely, it holds some cards and is also stiff enough.

Thanks Katie. I love playing with inks and also enjoyed your mustard video. I love that KWZ Foggy Green. I have a few of their other inks and need to get this green.

I’ve asked if their other inks do this but oddly, the only person that appears to carry KWZ doesn’t know. I have samples coming… I hope more do this lovely separation.

Kate–this video was great! I love the vibrancy of that blue ink. What did you mean by the ink being light fast?

Watercolors pigments are tested for a lightfast rating — meaning will they fade on the wall or not. Inks usually are not because people think of them going into journals or books….
