NOW I’m getting somewhere! From Max Vanderwyst’s car images!
Again I used grisaille to shadow, the Super5 Frankfurt ink in a water-brush.
I should go back and add a bit of shadow to the columns…
Very fast watercolor, middle of the night…
Cars are a lot like buildings, you get their geometric shapes and they become easier…
The spread!
Moleskin A4 Watercolor Journal, Pentalic HB woodless pencil,
Pentel Aquash Water Brush with Super5 Frankfurt ink (Amazon when they have it or buy from Europe) for grisaille, Pilot Parallel pen with De Atramentis Document Black ink,
Platinum Carbon Pen with Platinum Carbon ink waterproof cartridges,
White Uniball Signo, Holbein, DS Primatek watercolors, and Daniel Smith Watercolors.

I started a Facebook group page (you must join to view) to allow everyone to share their virtual sketches, and also where we will, from time to time, take virtual sketch walks together. Come join us On Facebook if you are inclined!
If you want to know more about what a virtual sketchwalk is review my first post.
There are a few more notes/pointers on our first walk through Laguna Beach, California.
I also created an accompanying Flickr group!

Thanks. If you are on FB and want images of cars to try your hand at even though we are almost through with the month of cars the images are always there to try! (Link on the page.) I wanted to try them because I never draw the dang things…
