Working to finish up a journal I don’t like.
Not because of the paper — Strathmore paper is good paper.
The journal is not falling apart (I’ve stuck with THOSE.)
No, this is because the Strathmore Journal has a strange feeling cover,
and the pages don’t lay flat so I am always fighting them.
This was an early journal, so I didn’t know what I liked.
I gave all the others away, BUT I had some nice images in this one
and a couple of memories, Nicks in McMinnville and the Catholic Church and
when Mitchell split his thumb on the saw. I just could not toss it.
Then there is this, below. Seriously, I’ve had nightmares.
I didn’t have them with Bush, and I didn’t like him… but he was not Trump.
I didn’t have them with 911… I sobbed at the deaths, but was not afraid for my own life
despite what the media was trying to do to us daily.
Trump and his large band of inciting-to-riot cohorts are scaring the shit out of me.

No, we moved her about ten years ago when where we were living became a place for old people to die… not live, mind you, but die. Southern Oregon!

Enjoyed your video and your sketches. I have the same sketchbook in my stash. Starting out you tend to grab this and that to try. I have not used it because of the size and hard cover. I know the future is scary. I try not read the sound bites until I know something is true and not fake. Hard to tell these days.

I’ve finally moved most of my books I don’t like on to other homes… but some I worked too long in. I’ve taken two and made them sample books for ink or watercolor. Not a bad use.
I am also staying away from reading the gloom and doom. Feeling a little Doris Day-ish, as we can’t DO much right now — Que Sera Sera. And I google and dig for the “real” news… needs a couple of big sources or sources I trust. I trust the Intercept and the Guardian…
