Reflecting on an Anniversary: Watercolor Sketching

Two years ago I started moving
away from large acrylics on canvas (above left)
or small acrylics on my hand-made paper (above right).
I wanted to paint again, in a smaller space,
and so, thought to try watercolors
and shellac and India ink and
other inks and see where it took me.
I admit to taking a few well-chosen classes
(nothing dogmatic but teaching short-cuts)
and most of all, painting almost daily.

A lot can change if you consistently
MAKE MARKS every day!

Below, a sampling of this and that
roughly in order by the month.

Progress!

As I start a new year, I am working on my own projects, participating in less challenges unless they are in alignment with those projects!  Will still post as I go!

Everything but the kitchen sink was used to make marks.
