I’m participating in another
keeping-me-sane while recouping challenge!
This months prompts are really good,
and I am working small and fast.
Selfie started it,
and this is one from an image
we use in the business. Shell game was next.
I meant to do just music and
sketch a couple of Mitchell’s instruments,
but the entire page filled with
all the prompts for three days.
I also played with iridescent watercolors,
which I NEVER use, below.
I like using a metallic pen better —
the silver or gold watercolors float oddly on top.
And Booby Gurl made a small appearance!
I created a page of 2-minutes sketches no pencil with splashes of color for “be seated”, “clean sweep”, and “dance”. We have many wonderful Monterey and Monterey-style chairs that are fun to draw and splash around with color.
The dancing woman is on the back of the fake-Monterey painted chair (bottom left below) around our work table.
Mitchell is the only person who uses a whisk broom.
Drawn in a Pentalic Field Book (using it up, not that fond of them)
with Pentalic HB woodless pencil, LYRA watercolor graphite pencil,
various pens and with De Artramentis Document ink, Super5, Noodlers ink
and Daniel Smith, QoR, and Holbein watercolors.
